Biography
Loukia Loulaki - Violoncello
Loukia Loulaki was born in Athens, in 1992.
After graduating from the Athens Conservatory with the highest honors, she attended the Post Graduate Courses at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, in Italy, with Natalia Gutman under a scholarship by the “World in Harmony Foundation”. In 2008 she won by the school the Price Premio Walter Boccaccini.
Since September 2010, she has been accepted for Master Studies in Vienna ́s Konservatorium with Natalia Gutman (under a scholarship by the “Onassis Foundation”) from where she graduated receiving the highest honors.
Loukia Loulaki has performed as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra, the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of Colours,the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, the Youth Philarmonic Orchestra of Vienna, the Paneuropean Philarmonia and the Greek Radio Orchestra.
She has performed all over Europe, as well as in China, Japan, Brasil and Peru in prestigious halls like Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, Athens Megaron and festivals such as Wien Modern, Festival “dei due Mondi di Spoletto” in Italy and more.
She is the cellist and founding member of Selini Quartet.
She has attended master classes among others by Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt, Maria Kliegel, Leonidas Kavakos, Hatto Beyerle, Menahem Pressler, Quatuor Diotima, Pavel Vernikov.
Since September 2018, she is studying a second masters degree in chamber music, with prof. Johannes Meissl, at the University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
