Biography
Loredana Apetrei - Viola
Born in Romania in 1993, Loredana showed an early interest in classical music and started violin lessons at the age of seven. Later studies took her to the National College of Arts Octav Băncilă Iași where she also took up the viola. Her work and talent helped her to win several solo and chamber music prizes at national competitions during the high school years.
In 2012 she started to study at the University of Arts Iași with Prof. Constantin Stanciu (Voces Quartet) and in the first semester Loredana played the three suites for viola solo by Max Reger in a recital. She made her solo debut in 2013 with the Brașov Philarmonic Orchestra playing the Viola Concerto by Bela Bartok. Loredana received her Bachelor of Music degree in Romania and is currently completing the Master Studies with Prof. Wolfgang Klos at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
She attended masterclasses with Dimitri Mattu, Morten Carlsen, Gilad Karni and Răzvan Popovici.
Loredana was a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra and Wiener Jeunesse Orchestra and performed in halls like Konzerthaus Berlin, Romanian Atheneum Bucharest, Grand Theater Aix-en-Provence, Bozar Bruxelles, Musikverein Vienna. As a chamber musician, Loredana performed together with Boris Brovtsyn, Liviu Prunaru, Marianne Piketty, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Marin Cazacu and Vida Vujic.
